Sports Injuries
Some injuries are really obvious and you may hear a pop, or see swelling during sport or exercise, or directly afterwards. Other injuries are more of a repetitive strain nature and come about gradually through overuse, and may be less obviousy linked to sport.
Either way, physio can assess the injury or painful site, and advise regarding whether the issue needs any additional specialist input, or whether it can be treated with physio, and how.
Most injuries benefit from some physio afterwards, even if they seeminly make a good recovery on their own, because risk of recurrence is much higher afterwards.
Common injuries seen in sport are:
Ankle sprains
Knee ligament sprains
ACL injuries
Tendinopathies
Groin and hamstring strains
